About the Institute
The Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Automation and Geomechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic is a well-known state research institution in the country and abroad, carrying out research work on solving problems in the field of technical sciences in Kyrgyzstan.
The mission of the Institute is to create advanced engineering schools and modern domestic developments in the field of mechanical engineering, energy, instrumentation, information technologies, technologies for subsoil development, assessment, forecasting and prevention of the consequences of natural and man-made disasters, preservation and development of the intellectual “industry” research environment, the formation of a new scientific and engineering elite.
The purpose and subject of the Institute’s activity is to conduct fundamental and applied scientific research aimed at obtaining new knowledge and actively promoting scientific and technical progress; implementation of scientific ideas together with industrial enterprises and other organizations, training of highly qualified scientific personnel.
